Eolia - The Mansion at Harkness Memorial Park
Waterford, CT

With breathtaking views of the Long Island Sound, Eolia, an elegantly restored mansion, is located on 230 seaside acres of pristine lawns, stately trees and spectacular gardens in Harkness Memorial Park. The mansion was once the summer home of the Harkness family, and now serves as a sophisticated venue for group functions.

Lake Compounce

Against the backdrop of silently-moving Beluga whales, exquisite fish and other exotic creatures of the deep, The Mystic Aquarium and Institute for Exploration offers a fabulous under the sea venue for evening events. The aquarium also houses the Institute for Exploration's newly renovated exhibit space. The space, which features state-of-the-art technology and recently discovered artifacts, is the perfect setting for a smaller private event.

Seamen's Inn/Mystic Seaport
Mystic, CT

Tall ships, spectacular views of the water, and quaint New England charm makes Seamen's Inn at Mystic Seaport a distinct venue for an off-site special event. Groups can dine in an elegant gallery surrounded by a collection of antique ship's figureheads, or crack open lobster at a traditional shore dinner prepared over open fires on the riverbanks. Cruises aboard the Sabino, America's oldest operating coal-fired steamboat, can also be arranged for groups.

Saint Clements Castle
Portland, CT

Built in 1902, Saint Clements Castle sits on 82 acres of land along the Connecticut River. The European-style estate is complete with two distinctive Norman towers, sunken gardens, gracious courtyards and pristine landscaping. Many of the great rooms on the estate were modeled after prominent points of interest throughout France.

Sheffield Island Lighthouse
Norwalk, CT

Built in 1868 on one of the Norwalk Islands, the 10-room Sheffield Island Lighthouse has been placed on the Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse is a perfect location that captures the charm of New England when planning a special event, which can include a traditional New England clambake.
