What: Please join us for Connecticut's 10th Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism and 16th Annual Unity Dinner. This year's tourism conference, "Exploring New Directions" identifies the need to evolve in a challenging environment by exploring new strategies and building new partnerships for growth. National speakers will share insight on emerging tourism trends, and Connecticut professionals will highlight local tourism experiences in concurrent workshops throughout the two-day conference.

When: Conference: Tuesday, April 8 from 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 9 from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Unity Dinner: Tuesday, April 8 from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Where: Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, Connecticut

  • Terry Jones, web pioneer, founder and former CEO of Travelocity.com will share his strategies and vast knowledge of branding, marketing, e-commerce and customer relationship management.
  • Judy L. Randall, President and CEO of Randall Travel Marketing will examine how old research and advertising paradigms have changed, how customers have changed and what that means to the Future of Tourism.
  • Bruce Kasanoff, business relationship expert and author of "Making it Personal," will demonstrate by example how to build trust between a company and its most valuable customers and employees.
