10th Annual Governor's Conference on Tourism

And

16th Annual Unity Dinner

The conference will be held on Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9th. The unity dinner will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 8th. Both events will take place at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT

Conference Registration & Group Registration
Individual registration prices - full registration (Conference and Unity Dinner) received by March 19th is $155.00 after -$180.00, conference only received by March 19th is $130.00 after $155.00, Unity Dinner received by March 19 $55.00 after - $60.00.

Group Registration discount for six or more people in the same organization are available. All registrations and payments must be received at the same time prior to the conference. Prices per-person: Full registration before March 19th is $145.00 - after $170.00, conference only before March 19th is $105.00 after $130.

There is no one-day conference fee and sharing of Conference registration is not permitted. Registration brochure and form will be available in mid-February.

Unity Dinner
The per-person price for the Unity Dinner is $55.00 if received by March 19 after - $60.00. It will be held on the evening of Tuesday, April 8th. Registration and a cocktail reception will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. To reserve a table, you need to have 10 people. Unity Dinner registration will be handled through the registration brochure and form. The registration brochure will be available in mid-February.

Hotel Registration
Both events will be held at the Mohegan Sun, located in Uncasville, Connecticut is offering participants a single/double occupancy rate of $107.00 per room per night plus tax. Additional person(s) in a room up to a maximum of four is an additional $15.00 per person. Participants must make their own hotel reservations. To reserve a sleeping room, contact the resort toll free at 877.664.3426 (fax 860.862.4747). Please be sure to identify yourself as an attendee of the Governor's Conference on Tourism by mentioning the identification code of GOVCONF to qualify for the special group rates. Our room block will only be held until Friday, March 14, 2003. Reservations received after this date will be honored pending availability.

Student Sponsorships
We welcome and encourage students to attend the conference free of charge by presenting your valid college identification at the registration desk. Meals are not included.

Student sponsorship opportunities for conference packet including meals and hotel accommodations are available compliments of industry sponsors. Fax your letter of interest to us at 860-270-8077 and be sure to include your name, address, phone number, and the name of the school you attend. Letters must be received by March 17th, 2003. Student Scholarships/Grants
The CT Tourism Council makes available two Scholarships for $1,000.00 for CT residents attending colleges and universities in CT within the tourism/hospitality fields. Applications must be received by March 10th, 2003 and awards will be presented at the Unity Dinner. Awards
The Connecticut Tourism Council and the State Office of Tourism are now accepting nominations for the 2003 Connecticut Travel Awards. Silent Auction
The Connecticut Tourism Council and the State Office of Tourism are accepting donations to the Silent Auction. Proceeds will be added to the existing scholarship/grant fund to benefit future members in our industry. Please contact Richard Emonds (860) 270-8181 regarding your donation
