Bigelow Hollow

To me, a unique place in Connecticut is Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union, CT. I like Bigelow Hollow because it is not crowed, and you can do many outdoor activities. There are two big beautiful lakes. The first lake is called Bigelow Pond. You can only fish there. The second lake is called Mashapauge Pond. I really like this lake because you can swim fish canoe, boat, bring dogs, and have parties or picnics.

My family and I go canoeing. It is safe to swim in the water because it is very clear and is the freshest and cleanest lake in Connecticut. You can jump into the water from big rocks and swim to little islands. It is fun to snorkel. I have seen some water snakes and a lot of fish and ducks.

We are also able to feed the ducks. There are a lot of hiking trails, picnic tables, and fire-pits. It is fun to take our dog hiking on the trails.

I would recommend this place to someone visiting our state because it is a place to be free. It is so beautiful because there are mountain laurel blossoms in the spring and a lot of beautiful trees. It is a place for anyone who likes the outdoors.
